WEWOOD is a partnerships' platform with designers, architects and young talents, which has as base of its collections the design combined with high-end joinery, these are produced by the experienced hands of artisans featuring the most sophisticated technology. WEWOOD presents their collection with signed and numbered products, ensuring the uniqueness in each piece. Design, sophistication, tradition and ecology are points which we don't give up. All pieces are original and of a great environmental concern during its production. Cross-culturally and versatile, these pieces excel for the simplicity and the purity of its lines.
The WEWOOD concept was born in 2010 as a result of Research and Development Office of Móveis Carlos Alfredo, a company with a know-how in the solid wood furniture manufacture and export, since 1964. WEWOOD's name "We are wood" comes from the company's philosophy, which is the solid wood furniture production, resulting also in a tribute to the Portuguese craftmen "Portuguese Joinery", yielding thus the brand name "WEWOOD - Portuguese Joinery". In January 2012, WEWOOD launches for the first time in the international market, one of the most important world events of furniture and decoration "Maison & Objet" in Paris.
